Description georg.drews 2009-10-22 20:40:44 UTC
Version: 0.9.2 (using KDE 4.3.2)
OS: Linux
Installed from: Ubuntu Packages

OS: Kubuntu Linux 9.10 - Beta . System completly updated (oct.22nd, 20:00)

Printing a PDF-file starts - i can see the printing job
(printer applet), but the job does not seem to be finished.
The printer does not start to print.

A look into the system-protocol shows this:

2009-10-22 20:35:12	gigis-computer	Deskjet-F300-series	prnt/hpijs/hpcups.cpp 331: WARNING: both pens have low ink
2009-10-22 20:35:12	gigis-computer	Deskjet-F300-series	prnt/hpijs/hpcups.cpp 350: STATE: +marker-supply-low-warning
2009-10-22 20:35:13	gigis-computer	Deskjet-F300-series	prnt/hpijs/hpcups.cpp 263: cupsRasterOpen failed, fd = 0: No data available
2009-10-22 20:35:13	gigis-computer	Deskjet-F300-series	prnt/hpijs/hpcups.cpp 681: hpcups: returning status 1 from main
2009-10-22 20:35:13	gigis-computer	hp[27857]	prnt/backend/hp.c 802: ERROR: null print job total=0

If I print a document with OpenOffice (which works perfectly), the system-protocol shows this:

2009-10-22 20:38:03	gigis-computer	Deskjet-F300-series	prnt/hpijs/hpcups.cpp 331: WARNING: both pens have low ink
2009-10-22 20:38:03	gigis-computer	Deskjet-F300-series	prnt/hpijs/hpcups.cpp 350: STATE: +marker-supply-low-warning
2009-10-22 20:38:16	gigis-computer	Deskjet-F300-series	prnt/hpijs/hpcups.cpp 681: hpcups: returning status 0 from main

Interesting: allthough the print-job of okular is in the queue, I can print with OpenOffice and the printer starts immediately.

Comment 2 Albert Astals Cid 2012-07-23 17:26:29 UTC
I am closing this bug as it works for me with the version of Okular that will be part of KDE Applications 4.9 release that is being released next week, if you can still reproduce the error after updating to that version or later please reopen this bug.

Thanks for caring about Okular :-)
