Version:           2.2.0 (using 4.3.2 (KDE 4.3.2), 4.3.2-3.fc11 Fedora)
Compiler:          gcc
OS:                Linux (i686) release 2.6.30.8-64.fc11.i586

Steps to reproduce:

1. Plug-in your external USB 500 harddrive 
2. In amarok right-click the device and select Read device
3. Try to stop it

uh, sorry 
s/500 harddrive/500 GB harddrive 

I mean, amarok scans the disk and you can't stop it if it is big mass storage.

You should not try to scan an external harddisk as a media device for obvious reasons. Instead, select it as a collection source in the settings.

But yes, one should be able to stop the scanner I think.
