From bug 215475: --- What I was doing when the application crashed: I was trying to recreate the problem described by https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/kdesudo/+bug/250330 "kdesu starts empty after login". To do this I typed Alt-F2 (hold the alt key down, type the F2 key and release the alt key) to run kate as root. I eventually figured out that one can select another user to run a program by clicking on the spanner icon on the "Run kate" list item. I clicked the "Run as a different user" checkbox, tabbed to the username field, entered my username tried to tab to the password field but for some reason failed. When I tried clicking on the password field with the mouse, I think that's when it crashed. *** Bug 215475 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** *** Bug 215513 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** *** Bug 216370 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** *** Bug 220568 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** *** Bug 223843 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** From bug 229001: - What I was doing when the application crashed: I tried to run Konsole as root, expecting it to ask me for my password when I pressed Enter since I left that field blank, and instead it just ran as me. So I closed that Konsole and pressed alt-F2 again, started typing kon and then the crash happened. From bug 229595: - What I was doing when the application crashed: Tried to run 'kdesudo kvpnc' and I got the crash. This usually works fine, and it ran fine the next attempt. *** Bug 229595 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** *** Bug 229001 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 221871 *** |
