Sentry Crash Report:

Description Anderson Medeiros Gomes 2009-10-15 18:46:10 UTC
Version: 0.80.2 (using KDE 4.3.2)
OS: Linux
Installed from: Ubuntu Packages

It's possible to use a non-hotmail account in Windows Live Messenger, by creating a Passport ID for an existing e-mail account.

It's also possible to use a non-gmail account in Google Talk, by creating a Google Account for an existing e-mail account and following these instructions:

http://www.google.com/support/talk/bin/answer.py?answer=141360

---------------

I followed the instructions above and now I can use Google Talk with my non-gmail account, but... When I try to use this account in Kopete, authentication "fails with unknown reason".

I can confirm that this is working properly in KDE 4.7.2.

Humm... I'm unable to retest this use case for now.

My other mail address is now linked to a GMail account and I can't purge the mail data from this Google Account.

Sorry.
