Description 0BADC0DE 2009-10-15 10:59:42 UTC
Version: 1.0 (using KDE 4.3.1)
OS: Linux
Installed from: Fedora RPMs

Despite I have chosen different paths other than the defaults, they get reset to the defaults at every KDE login.

How to reproduce:
1. Open "System Settings"
2. Choose the "General" tab
3. Click on "About Me" settings
4. Change any of the paths displayed (I have: Desktop, Autostart, Documents. Download, Movies, Picture and Music)
5. Click on button "Apply"
6. If you confirm to move the directories the original ones will be deleted.
7. Confirm you want to "move" the changed directory
8. Exit "System Settings" (I click on an icon on the upper right corner)
9. Log out or reboot
10. Log in
11. Repeat steps 1, 2 and 3
12. Check that the path changed at step 4 is now back to the default.

Expected behaviour:
At step no.12 I would expect top see the same path(s) as defined at step no.4.
If the original directories have been deleted, they will get recreated empty.

The bug happens always and is really annoying.

... and there' no single file in ~/kde containing those settings.
So I presume they simply are not saved at all!
