*** Bug 254057 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** Created attachment 59627 [details] New crash information added by DrKonqi konqueror (4.6.2 (4.6.2)) on KDE Platform 4.6.2 (4.6.2) using Qt 4.7.2 - What I was doing when the application crashed: Konqueror was opened to the site http://translate.reference.com/ A box pops up with the options "save as" "open with" and "cancel" for an objec whose path ends in "flavicon.ico" Clicking on any of the options triggers the crash. The first time it happened I had several tabs open but I was later able to repeat the crash by going to the site in a fresh restart of konqueror This is a 64-bit Fedora-14 installation about a week old and updated as part of the installation. The package containiing konqueror is kdebase-4.6.2-1.fc14.x86_64 The kdelibs packages are kdelibs-4.6.2-1.fc14.x86_64 and kdelibs-common-4.6.2-1.fc14.x86_64 -- Backtrace (Reduced): #6 0x000000363900d231 in KHTMLPart::checkCompleted (this=0x29345e0) at /usr/src/debug/kdelibs-4.6.2/khtml/khtml_part.cpp:2395 #7 0x0000003639033f80 in KHTMLRun::foundMimeType (this=0x2d686c0, _type=<value optimized out>) at /usr/src/debug/kdelibs-4.6.2/khtml/khtml_run.cpp:70 #8 0x000000362b959822 in KRun::mimeTypeDetermined (this=0x2d686c0, mimeType=<value optimized out>) at /usr/src/debug/kdelibs-4.6.2/kio/kio/krun.cpp:1420 #9 0x0000003631839ba0 in KParts::BrowserRun::slotBrowserMimetype (this=0x2d686c0, _job=<value optimized out>, type=...) at /usr/src/debug/kdelibs-4.6.2/kparts/browserrun.cpp:245 #10 0x000000363183a009 in KParts::BrowserRun::qt_metacall (this=0x2d686c0, _c=QMetaObject::InvokeMetaMethod, _id=<value optimized out>, _a=0x7ffff77e9690) at /usr/src/debug/kdelibs-4.6.2/x86_64-redhat-linux-gnu/kparts/browserrun.moc:80 *** Bug 268574 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** What steps are needed to provoke the problem with http://translate.reference.com/ ? Most of the time when I open the site translate.reference.com a popup appears in a window titled "dictionary1.classic_reference.com - Konqueror". The window contains Open 'http://disctionary1.clas...reference.com/favicon.ico Type Microsoft icon There are three buttons titled "Save As ...", "Open with ..." and "Cancel". Clicking on any of these buttons results in the crash. A couple of times the page comes up without the popup. But if I click on German as the source language, enter a phrase, and then click "Translate" the popup appears. The popup has grabbed the browser. Clicking on any of the buttons in the popup results in the crash just like what happens when the popup appears on opening the page. This same page opens fine one this same machine in firefox. Following link opens a file dialog and when pressing cancel konqueror crashes: http://empoprise-bi.blogspot.com/2011/06/popurebe-does-not-sound-fun.html git master (kdelibs e93dd21fb894840c1caa8f93651f799f2bb487a9) Thread 1 (Thread 0xb4d1d710 (LWP 3904)): [KCrash Handler] #7 0xb315c0fb in KHTMLPart::checkCompleted (this=0xced3c60) at /home/teve/kde/kdelibs/khtml/khtml_part.cpp:2390 #8 0xb318b7e8 in KHTMLRun::foundMimeType (this=0xc7185e8, _type=...) at /home/teve/kde/kdelibs/khtml/khtml_run.cpp:70 #9 0xb7463dfc in KRun::mimeTypeDetermined (this=0xc7185e8, mimeType=...) at /home/teve/kde/kdelibs/kio/kio/krun.cpp:1433 #10 0xb76a0f2a in KParts::BrowserRun::slotBrowserMimetype (this=0xc7185e8, _job=0xc2763d8, type=...) at /home/teve/kde/kdelibs/kparts/browserrun.cpp:245 #11 0xb76a306e in KParts::BrowserRun::qt_metacall (this=0xc7185e8, _c=QMetaObject::InvokeMetaMethod, _id=1, _a=0xbfc43174) at /home/teve/kde/klb/kparts/browserrun.moc:80 #12 0xb318bce4 in KHTMLRun::qt_metacall (this=0xc7185e8, _c=QMetaObject::InvokeMetaMethod, _id=12, _a=0xbfc43174) at /home/teve/kde/klb/khtml/khtml_run.moc:66 #13 0xb677307d in QMetaObject::metacall (object=0xc7185e8, cl=QMetaObject::InvokeMetaMethod, idx=12, argv=0xbfc43174) at kernel/qmetaobject.cpp:237 #14 0xb67824cc in QMetaObject::activate (sender=0xc2763d8, m=0xb757ce10, local_signal_index=4, argv=0xbfc43174) at kernel/qobject.cpp:3278 #15 0xb73f7f7b in KIO::TransferJob::mimetype (this=0xc2763d8, _t1=0xc2763d8, _t2=...) at /home/teve/kde/klb/kio/jobclasses.moc:419 #16 0xb73f0aa5 in KIO::TransferJob::slotMimetype (this=0xc2763d8, type=...) at /home/teve/kde/kdelibs/kio/kio/job.cpp:1180 #17 0xb73f7cb3 in KIO::TransferJob::qt_metacall (this=0xc2763d8, _c=QMetaObject::InvokeMetaMethod, _id=10, _a=0xbfc432d8) at /home/teve/kde/klb/kio/jobclasses.moc:372 #18 0xb677307d in QMetaObject::metacall (object=0xc2763d8, cl=QMetaObject::InvokeMetaMethod, idx=50, argv=0xbfc432d8) at kernel/qmetaobject.cpp:237 #19 0xb67824cc in QMetaObject::activate (sender=0x8c6dd98, m=0xb757f5c4, local_signal_index=19, argv=0xbfc432d8) at kernel/qobject.cpp:3278 #20 0xb749e4b6 in KIO::SlaveInterface::mimeType (this=0x8c6dd98, _t1=...) at /home/teve/kde/klb/kio/slaveinterface.moc:273 #21 0xb749bb6b in KIO::SlaveInterface::dispatch (this=0x8c6dd98, _cmd=21, rawdata=...) at /home/teve/kde/kdelibs/kio/kio/slaveinterface.cpp:267 #22 0xb749b23e in KIO::SlaveInterface::dispatch (this=0x8c6dd98) at /home/teve/kde/kdelibs/kio/kio/slaveinterface.cpp:88 #23 0xb7490eba in KIO::Slave::gotInput (this=0x8c6dd98) at /home/teve/kde/kdelibs/kio/kio/slave.cpp:344 #24 0xb749206e in KIO::Slave::qt_metacall (this=0x8c6dd98, _c=QMetaObject::InvokeMetaMethod, _id=2, _a=0xbfc4357c) at /home/teve/kde/klb/kio/slave.moc:82 #25 0xb677307d in QMetaObject::metacall (object=0x8c6dd98, cl=QMetaObject::InvokeMetaMethod, idx=30, argv=0xbfc4357c) at kernel/qmetaobject.cpp:237 #26 0xb67824cc in QMetaObject::activate (sender=0x8a24440, m=0xb757c344, local_signal_index=0, argv=0x0) at kernel/qobject.cpp:3278 #27 0xb73bec5d in KIO::Connection::readyRead (this=0x8a24440) at /home/teve/kde/klb/kio/connection.moc:92 #28 0xb73bb9e8 in KIO::ConnectionPrivate::dequeue (this=0x8c5d550) at /home/teve/kde/kdelibs/kio/kio/connection.cpp:82 #29 0xb73bebea in KIO::Connection::qt_metacall (this=0x8a24440, _c=QMetaObject::InvokeMetaMethod, _id=1, _a=0xc274a50) at /home/teve/kde/klb/kio/connection.moc:79 #30 0xb677307d in QMetaObject::metacall (object=0x8a24440, cl=QMetaObject::InvokeMetaMethod, idx=5, argv=0xc274a50) at kernel/qmetaobject.cpp:237 #31 0xb677db55 in QMetaCallEvent::placeMetaCall (this=0xb68f380, object=0x8a24440) at kernel/qobject.cpp:535 #32 0xb6781dbf in QObject::event (this=0x8a24440, e=0xb68f380) at kernel/qobject.cpp:1217 #33 0xb5bfa684 in QApplicationPrivate::notify_helper (this=0x806d080, receiver=0x8a24440, e=0xb68f380) at kernel/qapplication.cpp:4462 #34 0xb5c03427 in QApplication::notify (this=0xbfc43ea0, receiver=0x8a24440, e=0xb68f380) at kernel/qapplication.cpp:3862 #35 0xb6d9668a in KApplication::notify (this=0xbfc43ea0, receiver=0x8a24440, event=0xb68f380) at /home/teve/kde/kdelibs/kdeui/kernel/kapplication.cpp:311 #36 0xb676c78e in QCoreApplication::notifyInternal (this=0xbfc43ea0, receiver=0x8a24440, event=0xb68f380) at kernel/qcoreapplication.cpp:731 #37 0xb677051c in sendEvent (receiver=0x0, event_type=0, data=0x8052360) at kernel/qcoreapplication.h:215 #38 QCoreApplicationPrivate::sendPostedEvents (receiver=0x0, event_type=0, data=0x8052360) at kernel/qcoreapplication.cpp:1372 #39 0xb677066c in QCoreApplication::sendPostedEvents (receiver=0x0, event_type=0) at kernel/qcoreapplication.cpp:1265 #40 0xb679adf4 in sendPostedEvents (s=0x806f328) at kernel/qcoreapplication.h:220 #41 postEventSourceDispatch (s=0x806f328) at kernel/qeventdispatcher_glib.cpp:277 #42 0xb50ef509 in g_main_context_dispatch () from /lib/libglib-2.0.so.0 #43 0xb50efd10 in ?? (although the page does not end the loading ... the KDE-throbber keeps spinning) I am no longer able to recreate the crash associated with accessing http://translate.reference.com/ that I reported above. I have upgraded from 4.6.2 to 4.6.3 of the kde components (specifically under Fedora-14 I am now using kdebase-4.6.3-1.fc14.x86_64 and kdelibs-4.6.3-5.fc14.x86_64). I can't tell whether the change is because of the upgrade, changes to the web site, or something else that changed on my system. Thanks for the feedback. If you happen to reproduce it, please reopen. I can still reproduce this crash, seems that it's stack overflow. OpenSuse default stack size is 8192 and pressing cancel crashes but if I increase stack size then it won't crash anymore. *** Bug 283261 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** *** Bug 284733 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** Created attachment 75051 [details]

konqueror (4.9.2) on KDE Platform 4.9.2 using Qt 4.8.2
- What I was doing when the application crashed:
I've tried to upload an attachment on ask.fedoraproject.org
It failed, popping up a dialogue box saying something like "Syntax error"
After closing that, it offered download of something - Konqueror crashed right after cancelling the download dialogue

Thank you for helping us make KDE software even better for everyone! Hello: On my current debian sid system with konqueror 20.12.0, Qt 5.12.4 and KF5 5.77.0 I cannot reproduce this exact problem (using KHTNL). I got to http://translate.reference.com/ but konqueror was taking 100% CPU usage without rendering the page and therefore I cannot provide further information and I would mark this as work for me. Regards, Thanks for the update; changing status. |
