What I was doing when the application crashed:
Okular keeps crashing whenever I try to open a PDF document, rather any PDF document.

Seems you either need to recompile okular, poppler or poppler-qt4 frontend are you using distribution binaries or self compiling?

Hi

I am using PCLOS KDE4.3, if that is what you wanted to know. Okular was
installed by default. I tried what was given in
http://okular.kde.org/download.php, i.e this:

svn co svn://anonsvn.kde.org/home/kde/trunk/KDE/kdegraphics -N
cd kdegraphics
svn up cmake
svn up libs
svn up okular
mkdir build

cd build
cmake -DCMAKE_INSTALL_PREFIX=/path/to/your/kde4/install/dir ..
cd okular
make
make install

Unfortunately couldn't go beyond line 7. I am not familiar with CLI,
but have been able to install and use linux from ISOs.

No, no, no need to recompile it yourself, i was just asking if you used precompiled packages or not, it seems you are using PCLinuxOS so it is clear it is a problem in their packages, please look for the PCLinuxOS bug reporting utility and open a bug there saying they have to update the compilation of okular.

kdegraphics package was rebuilt yesterday against updated poppler libraries and this bug can be closed.
