When I am using Compiz-Fusion and have a panel with a Task Manager showing the tasks of the current workspace, I minimize any window and it nicely animates into the direction of its corresponding Task Manager button.

If I go into the Task Manager settings and activate the option: “Show only tasks that are minimized”, when I minimize a Window it does the close animation when it should do the same.

I report it here because I think it is plasma which fails to inform where the window should be minimized to.

this is also the behaviour with kwin. I'm not sure this is really a bug, the button does not yet exist, depending on how the system is coded, there is perhaps no way to know where the button is going to be.

yes, this is a "predicting the future" issue: the taskbar isn't showing the window, and show doesn't know that it should be the target location. what it probably should do when "only show minimized" is on is set the end of the last button in the task widget to be the minimize target for all non-minimized windows.
