I want to suggest to extend the search bar functionality. It should also show articles which do not have the status setting if there would not be a result (or only a few). The idea behind this: I normally have set the status to only show unread articles, but when I search I normally allways search an article that I have already read. If the search would be extended in this way, it would not be necessary to change the status and revert that change after search.
Kopete has a similar behaviour for contact search. Of course this should be configurable, because there may be people who prefer it like it is.
