When using a folder of large (~3Mb, 12MP) images as the image source in frame, Plasma freezes for ~10 seconds whenever the image changes, apparently because the image is being transformed in the X server.

The problem only manifests with frame in trunk.

Frame in 4.3, as well as the slideshow wallpaper in 4.3 and trunk, show a slight lag on image change - the analog clock's second hand can be seen to twitch for ~1s.

Isn't this the same problem as bug 209152?
