Description Tomas 2009-10-01 10:52:31 UTC
Version: kmail-4.3.1-165.2 (using KDE 4.3.1)
OS: Linux
Installed from: SuSE RPMs

If I want to type name into recipient field in new e-mail composer window AND password for ldapsearch has been chaged before, then kmail open new pop-up window and asks me to enter new username and password, which is OK. I enter these and it works UNTIL next ldapsearch.

So the change is not permanent but is only for immediate search.

To change password I must go to KAddressbook settings > ldaplookup section and change password there.

Can you fix kmail to change password permanently? I use Kwallet for passwords.

Thank you for taking the time to file a bug report.

KMail2 was released in 2011, and the entire code base went through significant changes. We are currently in the process of porting to Qt5 and KF5. It is unlikely that these bugs are still valid in KMail2.

We welcome you to try out KMail 2 with the KDE 4.14 release and give your feedback.
