Today, I learned more about this incident (as it occured once more): Apparantly it is connected to changing my locale (in order to fix problems with a keyboard layout). Because: kmailrc still has these assignments - and the filters missing. But all those refer to folders with Umlauts. And these seem to be mis-interpreted/ignored, now. I will keep watching this. And as soon I have it working, I will avoid any Umlauts in Folder names in Kmail... Thank you for taking the time to file a bug report. KMail2 was released in 2011, and the entire code base went through significant changes. We are currently in the process of porting to Qt5 and KF5. It is unlikely that these bugs are still valid in KMail2. We welcome you to try out KMail 2 with the KDE 4.14 release and give your feedback. |
Version: 1.12.0 (using 4.3.00 (KDE 4.3.0), Debian packages) Compiler: cc OS: Linux (i686) release 2.6.30-5.slh.1-sidux-686 Suddenly, Kmail complained about missing assignment of incoming folders. I am a kmail power user with many subscription to mailing lists, and several accounts. I realized that [MessageListView::Aggregations] sections blew up kmailrc to 162520 bytes (so I am not surprised if minor information gets lost). Being quite experienced with kmail, it was not a big deal to re-assign folders to incoming mail accounts, but this should not happen, anyway. $ grep 00000 ~/.kde/share/config/kmailrc |wc 16 16 20501 Regards Ralf
