Description Ruchir Brahmbhatt 2009-10-01 08:41:52 UTC
Version: 1.3 (using KDE 4.3.1)
Installed from: SuSE RPMs

I was trying to copy some photos from a windows machine in network. I opened location with smb protocol in dolphin and copied to local folder but it gives me warning that file is not readable. However even after skipping, all files are copied properly but with ".part" postfix in filename.

Steps to reproduce:
1. Open samba shared location in dolphin.
2. Copy a file and paste in local system.

Expected result:
File should be copied to local system.

Actual result:
Dolphin gives warning that it can't read file and offers option to skip. If we click skip, file is created with ".part" postfix in filename. However file size is proper and we can view the file.

Looks like io problem. It happens with konqueror also. I hope kio is proper component. Some please correct if wrong.
