Version:            (using KDE 4.3.1)
Compiler:          gcc 4.3.3  Ubuntu 4.3.3-5ubuntu4
OS:                Linux
Installed from:    Ubuntu Packages

The Print dialogue takes an excessive amount of time to show. During this time, Okular is unresponsive.

To reproduce: File > Print

Okular should hang for approximately 20 seconds until the Print dialogue shows.

- Do you experience this issue when trying to print from other KDE4 applications ?
- What is your printer configuration (local/network, CUPS version)

Sorry, it is a KDE wide problem. Okular is the only KDE program I print from
on a regular basis, so I did not notice this. I should probably file the bug
elsewhere then.
Just to finish answering the question, though its probably of no use to you
now:
cups version: 1.3.9-17ubuntu3.2
network printer (though the program hangs before the print dialogue shows up
and a printer is chosen...)

to work.
