Is this in the Collection Browser or in the Playlist? In the collection browser Confirmed in trunk of today. This is an example album: http://rapidshare.com/files/289482207/Va_-_Ultra_Trance_09_2CDs__2009_.tar.gz I can assume that this is happening when in the compilation an artist name is different from the one in the collection. Es: In the collection: "The Chemical Brothers" In the compilation:"the chemical brothers" P.S. I'm not sure about that. Can someone test whether Emanuele is correct? If so, the answer seems to be: fix your tags. As I said before I'm not sure that that's the problem. The problem seems to be only differences between upper and lover case. Anyway I have about 56k songs so I don't think that fix my tags is the correct answer. I was working fine with Amarok 1.6 and previous release of Amarok 2.x (but I'm not sure about this). (sorry for my English) (In reply to comment #7) > As I said before I'm not sure that that's the problem. The problem seems to be > only differences between upper and lover case. Sure... > Anyway I have about 56k songs so I don't think that fix my tags is the correct > answer. I think it's a fine answer no matter how many songs you have. You're asking us to fix problems that aren't of our creation. Plus we've had multiple bug requests specifically asking us to have case-sensitivity for artist names. You can use something like Picard to easily fix all tags up, or some scripts that make use of eyeD3. You don't have to manually walk though all 56K songs. > I was working fine with Amarok 1.6 and previous release of Amarok 2.x (but I'm > not sure about this). Amarok 1.6, eh? I'm pretty sure you're not sure about that. Sorry, I mean Amarok 1.4 :) Maybe (because I can't write good enough in English) I have not exlpained myself good. The problem is that if I listen to a compilation not in the collection everything is fine. When I copy it to my collection the artist name disappear at all! (as you can see in the first image: http://www.iouppo.com/life/pic1/b4e6cae27d3d43e4e7d35cf310d9c3c4.png) Changing target. Changing target. *** Bug 252790 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** It seems that this bug is not really about the Collection Browser. It is about the Albums applet (as seen in Emanuele's first screenshot). Because of this, I think #252790 is not a duplicate and the Component of this bug is set to the wrong value. In current git both the album applet and the collection browser correctly show artists for compilations. PS: Please attach screen shots to the bug and do not simply link to them. The links are dead so I can't say for sure what the reporter wanted to show us. |
