Version:           0.70.4 (using 4.2.4 (KDE 4.2.4), Mandriva Linux release 2009.1 (Official) for i586)
Compiler:          gcc
OS:                Linux (i686) release 2.6.29.6-desktop-2mnb

When pasting large amounts of text into an instant message box (yahoo plugin) Kopete crashes without warning. Also, File transfers (yahoo plugin) fail when recieving and sending.

You should create a different bug report about the failing Yahoo file transfers if they are not related to this crash (the politic here is "one report per issue")

If the application is crashing you should get the "Crash Handler" dialog, which is going to be useful to extract information about the crash.

If you can reproduce the crash at will, may you read http://techbase.kde.org/Development/Tutorials/Debugging/How_to_create_useful_crash_reports and post a complete backtrace here? Thanks

Hello from the KDE Bugsquad!

Unfortunately, Yahoo has discontinued the Yahoo Messenger service, and the code has been removed from Kopete.

Thus, I am closing this bug as "UNMAINTAINED" since it will no longer be fixable, or able to operate due to Yahoo.
