Description Thorsten Staerk 2009-09-26 08:27:44 UTC
Version: (using Devel)
OS: Linux
Installed from: Compiled sources

I cannot close my KDE calendar, there is no close icon or anything.

Reproduce:
1. Start KDE
2. Click onto the clock in the lower right, a calendar pops up

Expected behavior:
- a calendar pops up that can be closed

Actual result:
- a calendar pops up with no hint whatsoever how it can be closed

- If you click the clock again the calendar extender will collapse.
However it is not very intuitive.

I see you are right... but let's add a close icon for new users.

I have to agree. I've used the calendar a lot in the past, and it looks beautiful, but if you use the calendar for a bit, like to scroll a few months ahead, one kinda forgets how it popped up, so its not always intuitive to click outside the window to close it.

Another option is to have it slowly fade away if you mouse out for a few seconds, mousing over make it opaque again and timer resets.
