Konqueror shows an error message in the status bar: "http://service.gmx.net/de/cgi/g.fcgi/products/mail/overview2?mc=gmx_hp@home@meingmx.gmx_produkte@home@mo2: ReferenceError: Can't find variable: ActiveXObject" same for me - i think this appeared as gmx integrated their new Top-Bar. I've got this problem with KDE3.5.5 (OpenSuse 11.1) too :( same behaviour here - OpenSuSE 11.1, konqueror/KDE 3.5.10, at least one other web page login besides gmx didn't work either, but I don't remember which So it doesn't seem to work with *any* konqueror version anymore since GMX did "something". Is this mentioned top bar an ActiveX object? FYI: I can log into my account using the following link when at the same time konqueror is masked as Safari: http://portal.gmx.net/de/dienst/index.html But I cannot use the standard login on the main page and even when logged in via the portal link I cannot see attached pictures, instead I also get the timeout message (though I stay logged in). It doesn't seem to be a konqueror problem but poor gmx policy: when I change the konqueror user agent to Safari 3.2 for the *three* domains gmx.de, gmx.net and ui-portal.de I can login via the gmx main page as before - please test. The succinct answer of the gmx support: use internet explorer or firefox, we only support conventional browsers. *** Bug 201068 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** works fine with KDE 4.6.4 |
