Try beta 4 Gilles Caulier Gilles, It is probably best if you just close this out at this point. I'm using an Ubuntu package and unfortunately don't have the time in the near-term to locate all the dependencies required to build beta4 on my machine. Sorry for the distraction. Application that crashed: digikam Version of the application: 1.0.0-beta3 KDE Version: 4.3.1 (KDE 4.3.1) Qt Version: 4.5.2 Operating System: Linux 2.6.31-10-generic i686 Distribution: Ubuntu karmic (development branch) What I was doing when the application crashed: I was preparing to import some photos from USB media. The Import window was open and had finished reading the images and generating thumbnails. I connected the removable storage USB hard drive that I indended to use as the target for the import. Digikam did not recognize the addition of the storage, and did not show the associated album. I opened the settings dialog, deleted the original album entry and added it again. (It was included in the filesystem list, but not recognized as an available album.) After clicking OK, Digikam open the dialog indicating the progress of the album scanning process.
