Description Simon 2009-09-20 18:41:55 UTC
Version: 1.0.0-beta5 (rev.: 1025964) (using 4.3.1 (KDE 4.3.1), Debian packages)
Compiler: cc
OS: Linux (i686) release 2.6.31-0.slh.2-sidux-686

For me the Geolocation tool is quite useless at the moment. If one pixel is about 1 km then this is ways too inaccurate for my needs. I'd like to see whether it has been taken here or 20 m on the left.

It does not necessarily need to be a better map (= higher resolution etc), although one might get it from OpenStreetMap. But zooming in is really essential.

Do you talk about marble view on the right side panel. If yes, current code can switch to openstreetmap...

Yes, I do. When selecting OSM in the dropdown nothing happens.

Oh. There is another button. Kind of well hidden ;)

Works as expected this way. That's great!
Just does it seem to be a little slow. Loading sometimes takes one or two minutes. Perhaps just my bad connection.

Yes, it's network bandwidth relevant. Try marble stand alone application to check.

digiKam do not play with network here. all is delegate to marblewidget...
