I sent a message to my friend asking him to write something back to me...and after I hit Return, kopete crashes with the following output to the console.

I do not get a crash handler window. The only reason I got that output was because I ran it from Konsole.

This is all I could get you...I feel it's moreso a problem with something being wrong with KDE rather than kopete.

What is the order ?
1) Kopete hanged and messages started appearing on Konsole
2) messages started appeared and some seconds after Kopete hanged.

- Does Kopete always freeze like this ? Since when ?

Kopete hangs and the messages start showing up on Konsole immediately.

It has started happening since September 12, 2009. As far as I remember, there were no updates performed that could have caused this. I tried getting an older version of kopete, but the repositories for OpenSUSE do not have them anymore.

It happens when I am receiving a message and started occuring in the middle of a conversation over AIM. Sending single messages to more than two people causes this as well. There are no debugging symbols packages to be found on the repositories.

The partition that my /home folder was on seemed to be corrupted. Kopete is running without errors today for the past hour or so.
