Hi all. This is a followup on bug 207118, which comprised of 2 possibly separate bugs so here is one of them :)

In the playlist I have a selection of tracks which display as having a duration of 0:00, and when opened the files play correctly and the correct duration is displayed on the progress bar. This is happening with mp3 tracks only I believe. I am using the embedded MySQL, version 5.0.84-r1. This is all happening on a x86_64 Gentoo installation. Here's some system info below:

Portage 2.2_rc40 (default/linux/amd64/2008.0/desktop, gcc-4.4.1, glibc-2.10.1-r0, 2.6.31-gentoo x86_64)

I can add that without changing my database in any way, some songs which were not suffering from this symptom have now lost their duration too...
Comment 2 Myriam Schweingruber 2009-09-22 13:43:30 UTC
Might also be related to bug 207806.
Comment 3 Mark Kretschmann 2009-11-17 11:40:19 UTC
Solution:
Menu -> Settings -> Configure Amarok -> Collection -> Fully Rescan Collection.

(This will not cause any statistics loss)

Comment 5 Rami 2009-11-18 11:55:26 UTC
A full rescan of the collection fixed the issue for me.
maybe it's due to an update of my amarok version, I updated it from 2.1 to 2.2 and yesterday to 2.2.1
Comment 6 optiluca@gmail.com 2009-11-20 17:56:19 UTC
Afraid to say that after an update & full rescan, I still have a bunch of tracks with duration 0:00... Bug lives on over here :(
Comment 7 Myriam Schweingruber 2009-11-20 19:18:18 UTC
Luca, what version of Amarok are you talking about?
Comment 8 optiluca@gmail.com 2009-11-20 19:25:31 UTC
Amarok 2.2.1. I restarted it and I still have 0:00 tracks. I do get the impression that the number has gone down dramatically though.

Maybe a second full rescan and restart could improve that?
