Description warp.factor.three 2009-09-11 14:01:18 UTC
Version: 0.4.8 (using 3.5.10, Debian Package 4:3.5.10.dfsg.1-0lenny2 (5.0.2))
Compiler: Target: i486-linux-gnu
OS: Linux (i686) release 2.6.27-1-mepis-smp

Wifi network connection drops shortly after connection of any usb device but especially usb memory sticks. If you boot with memory stick connected, it works correctly.

If the wifi router is power-cycled. the same error happens. The network conection drops and cannot be restarted without a reboot. Curiously, using ifconfig wlan0 down and up do turn the wifi leds on and off but still no connection is possible.

Also you cannot ping the router on 192.168.0.1

KNemo just polls interface statistics. What you're describing sounds like a hardware or driver problem instead.

You'll probably want to search around or post a question in the mepis forums about your hardware setup.

In addition, wifi is disabled when joining a LAN and not turn on back when LAN disconnect. To restore, restart computer.
