Actually this doesn't appear to be limited to Konqueror. None of the applications using the standard "Print" dialogue remembers their settings between invocations. KMail & Okular also behave like this. Thanks for the bug report! Looks similar to what was reported in bug 180051. I guess it's somewhat related to Bug 180051 however the issue there seems mainly to do with some way of selecting printer defaults, which isn't quite the same. I also don't believe this has anything to do with CUPS. It works in KDE v3.x so in that respect it is a regression issue. Pretty much any print dialogue should remember the settings from the last time. > Pretty much any print dialogue should remember the settings from the last time.
I fully agree with that!
Dear Bug Submitter, This bug has been stagnant for a long time. Could you help us out and re-test if the bug is valid in the latest version? I am setting the status to NEEDSINFO pending your response, please change the Status back to REPORTED when you respond. Thank you for helping us make KDE software even better for everyone! KDE 4.14.32 on Slackware: There is no change to reported behaviour. I think this is just the accepted way the print dialogue operates. Almost a decade on, and no other people have reported problems with it working this way so maybe I'm an outlier. Either way, there doesn't seem to be much reason to change the current operation so perhaps this is "not a bug" and can simply be closed. |
