That's already possible. In the aggregation settings (view/message list/aggregation/Configure or directly with the buttons depending on your version) : - "Groups & Threading" tab, - Change the "Thread expand policy" option and select "Always expand threads" Ok. The behaviour is available but the way it is implemented is unbearable: Each time I switch into a directory first all threads are expanded and then the cursor jumps to the current mail. The expansion takes several seconds depending on the system usage. Why don't you just keep the list expanded? This way it is not necessary to reexpand the threads on each folder entry? Currently one has to decide what is worse. The unexpanded mails or the delay upon folder entry. I see no delay using the always-expand option Thank you for taking the time to file a bug report. KMail2 was released in 2011, and the entire code base went through significant changes. We are currently in the process of porting to Qt5 and KF5. It is unlikely that these bugs are still valid in KMail2. We welcome you to try out KMail 2 with the KDE 4.14 release and give your feedback. |
