Hello, i observe the same on ArchLinux KDE 4.3.1 It happens almost immediate after i start KDE (using startx here to bring up the DE) and is extremely annoying. BRS Atanas *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 117326 *** |
Version: (using KDE 4.3.0) Installed from: Debian testing/unstable Packages kio_http_cache_cleaner runs several times a day creating huge io loads, though - running on batteries - http cache wasn't touched - other more important processes need sheduling first Other browser seem to work without this kind of mechanism and the big amount of read io seems unneccessary considering the fact that only minimum or no changes are made to the set. Killing the process does no obvious harm, which even more raises the question for the need of frequent cleaning.
