Description Martin Senftleben 2009-08-25 17:28:39 UTC
Version: 4.3.0 (using 4.3.00 (KDE 4.3.0) "release 152", KDE:KDE4:Factory:Desktop / openSUSE_11.1)
Compiler: gcc
OS: Linux (x86_64) release 2.6.27.29-0.1-default

I use to shut down my machine every evening without closing contact before. When I start the machine up, contact works quite fine.
However, I noticed that alarms that I have set for different appointments (repeating ones as well) do not pop up, i.e. I am not reminded of the appointment.
This way, I've missed some important appointments :-(

I noticed that all the alarms pop ut at once when I shut down contact and restart it. It is as if contact does not run alarms when it is not shut down properly beforehand.
I would like to avoid this, because I have many apps open and not really the drive to shut them all down in the late evening. And it worked fine before updating to KDE 4. So I don't really understand why it shouldn't work now.

Martin,

A lot of work has been put into making the reminders work better in recent KDE versions.
Starting with KDE 4.10 at least, reminders should be much more reliable.

So please make sure to use modern KDE versions and if the bug still happens feel free to reopen.
