I do not think that System Settings needs to do anything special to implement this, and it is likely a bug in KCategorizedView. *** Bug 182040 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** Still valid for KDE 4.5 and it‘s really stupid if you hate that spastic double click thingie and use single-click and then it doesn‘t let you easily select files. The only application I found that respects the automatic selection of files (although here it is really annoying) is KDE‘s kick off menu editor. When you hover over an application/folder it gets selected after the set period of time. Still not fixed in Dolphin, though. *** Bug 298174 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** Hi, kdelibs (version 4 and earlier) is no longer maintained since a few years. KDE Frameworks 5 or 6 might already have resolved this bug. If not, please re-open against the matching framework if feasible or against the application that shows the issue. We then can still dispatch it to the right Bugzilla product or component. Greetings Christoph Cullmann |
