Kopete allow the user to change a lot of formatting options if rich text is enabled on a chat window. However, a lot of these options can only be changed by activating the formatting toolbar (which is disabled by default at least on Kubuntu).

When "Format" | "Enable rich text" is selected, some options, like font size and alignment, are added to this menu. However, many others, like font color, font family, bold, etc. are not shown. I think this menu should show every option related to formatting.

Dear user, unfortunately Kopete is no longer maintained.

Please migrate to another solution, e.g. for Jabber a possibility is Kaidan, for Matrix a candidate is NeoChat.
