I'm having the exact same problem with KDE 4.3.1 on Kubuntu with Qt 4.5.2, 64-bit. I haven't tried plasmapkg, however. I can navigate and select files using the "add widgets" dialog, but selecting one doesn't appear to do anything. I've tried running kbuildsycoca4 and logging out afterwards, and it doesn't make a difference. Same here. I reported this bug as well, not being able to find this one. KDE 4.3.1 (also happens in 4.3.0) installed from PPA in Linux Mint KDE CE 7. OK installing e.g. Currency Converter & Analog Meter (native plasmoids) installs and can be found through the dialog but Simple RamMeter didn't (which is a superkaramba widget). Arch 64-bit, KDE 4.2.3, Qt 4.5.3 EDIT: Proper config: Arch Linux 64-bit, KDE 4.3.2, Qt 4.5.3 Same bug here. Gentoo 10.0, KDE 4.3.1. Save problem here. opensuse 11.2 x86_64, kde 4.3.4. *** Bug 209332 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** Do you reproduce with kde 4.4.4 or 4.5 beta ? I tested this again under KDE 4.5.0 in Arch 64-bit and the problem is basically the same: Superkaramba widgets can be installed only through 'Add widgets -> Get New Widgets -> Install Widget from Local File' and with plasmapkg in CLI. Trying to install them through the 'Download New Plasma Widgets' dialog fails silently (nothing is installed to ~/.kde4/share/apps/plasma/plasmoids). Native plasmoids do get installed just fine. Closing for lack of feedback. Please feel free to reopen this report if you can still reproduce this with KDE 4.8.3 or later. |
