Description Carsten Pfeiffer 2009-08-19 09:51:09 UTC
Version: 1.12.0 (using 4.3.00 (KDE 4.3.0), Debian packages)
Compiler: cc
OS: Linux (i686) release 2.6.30-1-686-bigmem

When I forward a mail, kmail automatically inserts a recipient into the composer window. I have no idea how it would try to know or even guess whom I want to forward the mail, but it is quite disturbing. Obviously it never guesses the right recpient ;-)
Comment 1 Martin Koller 2009-08-19 20:31:04 UTC
does this happen on all mails, or only on certain mails ?
I've never seen this problem....
Are you using IMAP or local folders ?
Comment 2 Carsten Pfeiffer 2009-08-20 10:45:30 UTC
It happens for both IMAP and local folders here. Sometimes the sender of the mail to be forwarded is put into the TO field, sometimes it's a URL from within the mail, sometimes it's just the last part of a URL, sometimes even my own name and email address.

It looks as though kmail somehow remembers recently used, seen or selected urls and defaults to the last one of those. It really is weird.

Does this still happen? Have not seen such behaviour ever.
Comment 4 Kevin Funk 2013-06-28 09:29:51 UTC
Closing because of lack of feedback.

Hello! Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but this version of Kmail has been unmaintained for many years so I am closing this bug. Please try using the latest version of Kmail to see if your issue persists. If it does, please submit a new bug in "kmail2". Thank you!
