libc exception ? Which libgphoto2 version you use ? Gilles Caulier I am using libgphoto2-2 Version: 2.4.2-0ubuntu4. I was using digikam with the KDE gui of Ubuntu (Kubuntu) at the time the crash occurred. I prefer the KDE gui to the gnome gui. However, since this program does not work. I am going to have to go back, restart and boot into Windows to download my pictures until I find a working Linux program. I am running Windows and Linux side by side with the intention of eventually phasing out Windows or using it only when absolutely necessary preferably via a program that will open it up inside of Linux. I know those programs are out there. I just need to do the research to find them. Marco Antonelli - - - . Do you have compiled digiKam yourself ? If yes, this line is important in your trace : /build/buildd/digikam-1.0.0~beta3/utilities/cameragui/cameraui.cpp:177 This point to a deletion of a QObject in camera destructor : http://lxr.kde.org/source/extragear/graphics/digikam/utilities/cameragui/cameraui.cpp#177 Perhaps to comment this line in source code will solve your problem. Can you test it ? Andi, as camera controller is QThread based, (QObject based in fact), this line can be removed now. What do you think about ? Gilles Caulier Hmm somehow I think the problem could be in frame 41. There is a dialog created and the parent might have died. This backtrace is not that clear, but since frame 13 says that the Setup() object is zero (this=0x0), it might be a problem with this object instead d->controller? It could be related to this post: http://www.kdedevelopers.org/node/3919 I will try to use a QPointer here. Marco, if you compiled digiKam by yourself, could you checkout the latest SVN version and try again? SVN commit 1012855 by aclemens: Possible fix? Marco, please try to compile this version and tell us if it worked for you. CCBUG:204237 M +25 -12 setup.cpp WebSVN link: http://websvn.kde.org/?view=rev&revision=1012855 Any news here? Before releasing digiKam-1.0.0-final, I'd like to get rid of most of the 57 crash reports in here ;-) My apologies. The issue never repeated itself after installing the latest version of SVN. The incident never occurred again. If the problem appears again, feel free to re-open the bugreport. |
