Description marcos 2009-08-16 21:44:28 UTC
Version: (using KDE 4.3.0)
OS: Linux
Installed from: Debian testing/unstable Packages

When the "not show text formatting specified by user" option is activated, the contact custom emotions is also not shown. I think would be nice if have a separeted option to select if is desired or not to show custom smiles (from contacts) while, i.e. keeping of contact text formatting.

Also if the custom emotions is set to not show, in chat window could appear the related string used by the contact (as in older versions). IMHO, this could be useful since many users put names related with the emotion. This way, even it's not shown, read a "**happy!!**" is better to get an idea of what contact is trying express than a blank message.

Dear user, unfortunately Kopete is no longer maintained.

Please migrate to another solution, e.g. for Jabber a possibility is Kaidan, for Matrix a candidate is NeoChat.
