Description Anders Lund 2009-08-16 21:38:47 UTC
Version: 4.3.0 (using 4.3.00 (KDE 4.3.0), Chakra KDE)
Compiler: gcc
OS: Linux (x86_64) release 2.6.30-ARCH

When closing a html tab in akregator using shortcut (ctrl + w) the search line gets the focus, breaking keyboard navigation of the article list (now hitting "+" filters instead of going to the next article). Closing tabs using the button on the tab bar seems not to cause problems anymore.

I've observed the same in KDE 4.3.2 on Kubuntu Karmic 9.10. Additionally, from time to time, I don't even have to close a html tab in order to provoke the error. Simply pressing '+' a couple of times to navigate through a range of articles in the list may spontaneously move focus to the search line.

This bug has only been reported for versions before 4.14, which have been unsupported for at least two years now. Can anyone tell if this bug still present?

If noone confirms this bug for a Framework-based version of kontact (version 5.0 or later, as part of KDE Applications 15.08 or later), it gets closed in about three months.

Just as announced in my last comment, I close this bug. If you encounter it again in a recent version (at least 5.0 aka 15.08), please open a new one unless it already exists. Thank you for all your input.
