Description Sabine Faure 2009-08-14 14:15:29 UTC
Version: (using Devel)
Compiler: gcc 4.3.2
OS: Linux
Installed from: Compiled sources

- Configure Akonadi with an IMAP and Kolab resource.
- Create a new contact called 'TEST A' in KAddressBook with an email address.
- Go to Kmail and after a sync, a new email should appear in your 'Contacts' folder containing the information from the new contact.
- Modify the email address of 'TEST A' in KAddressBook.
- A new email appears after a sync, in the 'Contacts' folder of Kmail.

But the previous email (from 'TEST A' creation) is still there as well whereas it should not be.
(On the long run the folder will be swamped with emails.)

Hej Sabine,

this sounds like a bug in the Kolab Akonadi resource. KAddressBook just stores the contact in Akonadi and the Kolab resource is responsible for the synchronization between Akonadi and the IMAP server. So I reassign the bug to the Akonadi product.

Was this tested with the native Akonadi Kolab resource or the compat bridge? I cannot reproduce it with the native Akonadi Kolab resource here, the emails are updated correctly.

Hi Volker!

I tested this a long time ago (August 2009) so it does not matter I guess.
I retested this today and it works fine now so I am closing this bug.

Note for me: to test this go to Akonadi console - Browser tab - Contacts folder under the inbox of the Imap and Kolab resource.
