There is no Jabber/XMPP protocol in the messaging service list.

I have the same problem using the 4.3.0 MSVC packages: The jabber plugin (KDE\lib\kde4\kopete_jabber.dll) is missing.

(Using the MinGW or MinGW4 packages the plugin is available. I can create a jabber account but it doesn't connect.)

Quite an old bug report, but using the 4.4.4 MSVC packages Kopete & Jabber work perfectly for me now.
