Description Darin McBride 2009-08-12 21:34:23 UTC
Version: unknown (using 4.3.00 (KDE 4.3.0), Gentoo)
Compiler: x86_64-pc-linux-gnu-gcc
OS: Linux (x86_64) release 2.6.29-gentoo-r5

When I create/open a popup note from within kontact and move it out of the way so I can see other things, every time I click on the knote window to type a note, it brings kontact up to the foreground, too, overlapping the application I was writing a note about.

The knote windows should be independent from kontact so that they can be raised/lowered without affecting kontact's z-order. My kontact window is generally large (for lots of real-estate using kmail), and this basically overlaps the entire screen.

This bug has only been reported for versions before 4.14, which have been unsupported for at least two years now. Can anyone tell if this bug still present?

If noone confirms this bug for a Framework-based version of kontact (version 5.0 or later, as part of KDE Applications 15.08 or later), it gets closed in about three months.

Just as announced in my last comment, I close this bug. If you encounter it again in a recent version (at least 5.0 aka 15.08), please open a new one unless it already exists. Thank you for all your input.
