Description wuselwu 2009-08-09 17:51:35 UTC
Version: (using KDE 4.3.0)
Installed from: SuSE RPMs

I've never ever managed to use *.vcf files as exported from kaddressbook in mobile phones (tried several SonyEricsson and Nokia phones): As soon as a contact contains embedded photo information, adding the contact to the phone fails.

So it would be great to have an option to "strip" *.vcf-files of the embedded photos.

Hasn't this feature been added yet? As of KDE 4.4RC, I'm still missing the feature Michal describes :(.

As of 4.4.1 (current openSUSE rpms) I still seem to be missing this feature?!?
Comment 5 Tobias Koenig 2010-03-16 08:58:47 UTC
It has been fixed in SVN trunk and will be part of KDE 4.5.
We can't introduce new strings into the 4.4 branch because of
the string freeze...

OK, sorry for bringing it up again.

However, just today I found out the reason why I have had problems with embedded images in vcards for years and would like to point out the bug I filed: Bug 231004
