OS: Linux
Installed from: Unlisted Binary Package

I have my photos stored on my Windows ntfs Disk . I created a new album with Digikam (Kubuntu) in this Folder and imported the photos from my camera in this album. I tagged some of them. After booting Windows, i couldn't see them in the Explorer. They have the size "0 Byte". I can watch them in Dolphin and Gwenview under Linux without problems.

Well, NTFS write support is not really supported / safe under Linux I guess.
Maybe you destroyed the image files, or at least made them unreadable for Windows now.
I would never use OS specific filesystems under various operating systems, a fileserver or a better support FS should be the solution here.
FAT32 is writable without problems under Linux.

Sam,

This entry still valid with a recent kernel version and NTFS support ?

New digiKam 4.11.0 is available :

https://www.digikam.org/node/740

Can you reproduce the problem with this release ?
Comment 5 caulier.gilles 2016-07-14 13:15:57 UTC
This problem is not reproducible using last digiKam 5.0.0 + Exiv2 0.25.
I close this file now. Don't hesitate to re-open if necessary.
