Version:            (using KDE 4.3.0)
OS:                Linux
Installed from:    SuSE RPMs

When you select an icon in the folderview widget in 4.3, besides the smooth rectangle around the entire icon, an ugly black box is shown around the icon text.

This effect feels very out of place.

The attached image shows the problem and has some "suggestions" of solutions, based on other ways currently used on plasma and dolphin.

Any of the suggested solutions would be better than how the widget currently works. When I first saw the black rectangle, I thought the widget was glitching. This is a bad first impression to a widget that has become increasingly impressive.

SVN commit 1016088 by fredrik:

Replace the black focus indicator with a new design suggested by pinheiro.

This element is currently hardcoded but might be made themeable
in the future.

Could you backport it to branch? I would hate having to wait 5 or 6 months to see this fixed.
