Description Supreme1012 2009-08-07 03:19:34 UTC
Version: 0.10.0 (using KDE 4.3.0)
Installed from: SuSE RPMs

This is a mockup of a new Gui for the Facebook Import Kipi plugin. The mockup has a couple new features in it that dont necessarily need to be in there but would be nice. The rest of the gui is just the current options rearranged in a better way.

List of options in mockup not currently available:
1. Download tagged photos and their albums - this is possible in "facedown" but is not implemented in the kipi plugin
2. Save names as tags - filed as a wishlist already but not implemented yet
3. save caption - see #2
4. Organize into folders - this is something the program "facedown" does and it would be nice to see this implemented. It will create a folder with the name of the person the photo is from and a subfolder with the name of the album
5. Skip existing files - I dont see why you would not want to skip existing files so you dont necessarily even need this option but i assume it would be easy to implement.

I believe this would make the plugin much better arranged and easier to use. One thing I thought about but didnt put into the mockup is that it would be easier to put in your facebook information directly into the gui instead of having konqueror opening up.

Here is a better mockup. I would like to create something like this myself but i dont have any coding experience really so Im not sure if Ill be able to. If anyone is willing to work on the plugin to get to the mockups level of usability I would greatly appreciate it.

Would it also be possible to use the date uploaded Facebook as date created field in EXIF/ITPC/XMP metadata?
