Version:            (using KDE 4.3.0)
OS:                Linux
Installed from:    Gentoo Packages

As of 4.3.0 (worked fine in 4.2.4), I have no time zones in KDE. Time shows correctly in a shell using "date" command. System Settings also shows no time zones, but the correct time in CDT. The clock widget in plasma shows UTC time and no time zones available.

I will attach a screenshot showing the issue.

Turned out Gentoo was not pulling in ktimezoned. This is now fixed and doing a system update pulled in ktimezoned which returned everything to normal.
