Sentry Crash Report:

Description jos poortvliet 2009-08-05 12:55:11 UTC
Version: (using Devel)
OS: Linux
Installed from: Compiled sources

If you enable the mouse mark plugin and the zooming plugin, zoom in and use mousemark... The lines move on the screen instead of staying on/around the widget or thing you marked.

It'd be lovely for screencasts if this would work properly. I can imagine it's not a 5 min job, sorry about that ;-)

Jos, you don't have to say sorry for reporting bugs :-)

The bug makes sense and yes could be difficult to fix. But it's a valid bug and should be fixed if it helps you to make even better screencasts (really great work the one in the release note).

He, thanks. Don't give me special treatment, I'm just another Mindless KDE Drone doing my thing - an Evil Marketing Drone at that ;-)

So we just wait for someone with the knowledge and inspiration to fix this, thanks!

Just tested - this works fine now. Thanks, Martin ;-)

I cannot remember that I fixed it, good to know that I did!

It is not fixed.
Here is video demo: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vDgE68ilmXY

Operating System: Arch Linux
KDE Plasma Version: 5.14.2
Qt Version: 5.11.2
KDE Frameworks Version: 5.51.0

I can confirm the behaviour with Plasma 5.22.5. Not sure, however, how this could be fixed. Both plugins would need to know about each other to work properly.
Comment 7 Andrew Shark 2023-06-23 01:09:31 UTC
It is actually fixed now =).

Operating System: Arch Linux
KDE Plasma Version: 5.27.6
