Description Olaf 2009-08-03 11:37:30 UTC
Version: 1.12.0 (using KDE 4.2.98)
OS: Linux
Installed from: SuSE RPMs

When doing a reply to a received message no text from the old message is placed in the composer window.

I cannot see any bad setting in my kmail configuration.

Any idea why there is no quoting ?

Please check the templates (global, identity and folder) to look for %QUOTE, that is the template instruction that copies the old message with the quote prefix in the new mail.

You are right, Activating the "custom" templates (with %QUOTE) in the account setting and the quoting works ! Otherwise there is a %BLANK.

The question for me is, what set the %BLANK in the global setting that prevented my quoting ?

thx for the workaround !

Probably this is due to a perl script not run in the suse updates to a beta or rc version.
