Description Tanja Schulte 2009-08-02 16:13:24 UTC
Version: (using KDE 4.2.98)
OS: Linux
Installed from: Ubuntu Packages

As it is now I can only totally enable/disable the tooltips for the new messages list. My problem with this is: the tooltips for the group headers I find extremely helpful - and the tooltips for the mails themselves are just bugging me, they blanket information I want to see and they don't give me any information I cannot see in the list. So I'd love to get rid of the tooltips for the mails but keep the tooltips for the group headers to see how much mails are in that group.

Would it be possible to split the configuration for this?

There also should be an option for the mail list to only show hidden parts by mousing over them. e.g. subject, sender's name (+ address!). Those one row tooltips are more information where you need it and doesn't cover information that either don't belong to the mail or to the view.

BTW: Bug 182169 and Bug 184892 seem to be related.

Thank you for your feature request. Kmail1 is currently unmaintained so we are closing all wishes. Please feel free to reopen a feature request for Kmail2 if it has not already been implemented.
Thank you for your understanding.

Instead of creating a new feature request, please confirm here if the wishlist is still valid for kmail2.
