Probably related to bug 171685. Thanks Not related to that bug. From the description i would say there is something in the user profile that messes with the keyboard. If switching to a console doesn't work anymore that means it is a problem with x11. kde could not make that fail. Create a new account and copy your profile step by step over. Look at files like .Xmodmaprc, .Xdefaults, .XSession, everything in .kde/env and your settings in systemsettings -> regional&settings -> keyboard layout. disable keyboard layouts and try again. I recreated the account and the problem disappeared, anyway now I run on kde 4.3 and the keyboard runs perfectly |
