Sentry Crash Report:

Description Mathias Homann 2009-07-23 14:09:42 UTC
Version: 0.70.4 (using 4.2.4 (KDE 4.2.4) "release 2", KDE:42 / openSUSE_11.1)
Compiler: gcc
OS: Linux (i686) release 2.6.27.23-0.1-pae

whenever i try to send a message longer than 2047 characters, kopete seems to send it but it never arrives at the other end.

So far this happened with msn contacts. the biggest problem with this is that the only way to see if it happens is to ask the person on the other side if they got anything, after you paste a bigger chunk of text.

if you have a kopete style that shows a spinning "i'm working" thingie after sending text, you can see where it is still trying to send stuff.

In KDE 4.3 there's sending notification and if the message wasn't sent you will see warning next to the message in chat window.
