I hate to say this but I hate ';-)' systray icon.

1) It is out-of-style (see attached screenshot).

2) It is not culture-neutral in any case. 

3) It looks funny for some people (at least for first time), but for people who uses kopete on daily basis, it may be really annoying.

KDE 3 icon was a way better.

Not sure what to say here, the argumentation just makes me want to close this bug. Stupid is caling some ones work stupid and then thinking he will fix it for you. I did not made that particular icon (mine was probaly worse), and I can heaven understand your resoning but.... stupid???

I agree with Nuno. A better reason could be given, otherwise the bug should be closed.
