Version:            (using KDE 4.2.95)

Installed from:    SuSE RPMs

Version 4.2.95 (KDE 4.2.95 (KDE 4.3 RC1)) "release 139"

I usually switch off the computer by selecting "suspend to disk" option. After upgrading kde 4 to 4.3 rc1 this stopped being stable.

Now when after switching off the comp with "suspend to disk" after switching it on again system starts to boot as if I powered it off - I receive kdm login screen instead of locked kde session. This happens not always, but very often.

I did not have this problem before - even with earlier kde 4.3 releases, so I'm sure this is kde problem.


I'm not sure at which moment the problem occurs - I have 2 variants:
1. Suspend to disk at some moment fails and the comp is powered off
2. Suspend to disk finishes ok, but while switching on, restoring kde session fails and it falls back to kdm.

With desktop effects it looks good (apart from the black screen, which is present since an update of xorg, so not kde-related)

This is how it looks if desktop effects are turned of. Seems like the mask is set before the grafik is scaled to the window-size (the visible area has the same size as the the grafik in the svg-file)

I assume this is still valid for KDE 4.9.x? Please set the version field.
