fwiw, the "Even when logged off from the tty console" issue is an upstart bug (see downstream report https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=470004 ) I think this is a duplicate of #183274 (https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=183274). like rex said, the actual bug is not in kdm. regarding the option to disable monitoring ttys at all, i don't think this is a particularly good idea. a tty may have an open editor with unsaved data just like an x session may. and getting notified earlier is covered by the bug mentioned in comment 2. |
